The mission of The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Guardian Angel Foundation is to:
Support under funded high school band programs to promote and enhance student's musical development; support individuals affected by domestic violence to break the cycle of abuse; and contribute to research that focuses on management of acute hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients.
- The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Guardian Angel Foundation believes that high school band programs develop the musical talents of students. Music can expand the artistic side of a student, keep them focused, organized, and give them a sense of accomplishment. The band programs are often not funded appropriately and could influence more students with funding. The foundation will award grants to; purchase more instruments, repair instruments, purchase sheet music, provide a tutor/mentoring program and assist in developing the musical careers of students.
- The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Guardian Angel Foundation believes there is minimal funding for research of hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients in the United States, unless it is a major medical center. Acute hyperglycemic effects are documented in many publications; however, there are very few effective programs to address the many issues with implementing an intravenous insulin protocol. The foundation will award a grant to develop a program to manage hyperglycemia in hospitalized patients.
- The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus Guardian Angel Foundation believes that domestic violence has far-reaching effects on generations of the family involved in abuse. It also believes that one person can break the cycle of violence. The foundation desires to help individuals, enrolled in programs to fight domestic violence, to restore their life through counseling, education, and support.
